Fareham Parking Charges

Well done FBC.

Last night, the FBC committee, which brought in the £25 charge at short-stay car parks in in Market Quay and Osborn Road, changed the maximum stay before the £25 penalty is incurred from four to five hours.

That'll be permenant I would have thought.
I cant see them changing all the signs for a few weeks and putting them back.
People could always get the train. 3 trains an hour from Swanick.
That when they are not cancelled or cant be bothered to stop for a scheduled stop!
I blame the Goverment.

The Saga continues. I mean if you stay longer than you have paid for what do you expect? Its not hard.
I blame the Goverment.

You can inadvertantly go over your time, stuff happens. It's wrong to have to pay before you shop and try to guess how long you will be. Fairer parking is to pay on your return for the time you have used.

Fareham BC make money because sometime people make mistakes and they penalise them heavily for it. It's not worth the hassle to shop there.
Seize the day - go on.

Do the machines give change? It's a famous ploy of car park operators to charge 10p short of a pound in the knowledge that a lot of people don't have the correct money.
