:Fareham Shopping Centre has agreed Heads of Terms with Next for a new store in the town centre. Fareham Shopping Centre is planning to turn the large unit at the western end of the centre, previously occupied by Woolworths, into two units and Next is expected to be located in the rear unit, with the internal access into the shopping centre, adjacent to Marks and Spencer.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Conservative Councillor Seán Woodward, said: "I am delighted to hear that the Heads of Terms have been agreed between Fareham Shopping Centre and Next and that once the legal agreements have been completed, work will begin on transforming the old unit. This is excellent news for Fareham, which will generate new jobs and new interest in the town centre."
Once all the legal agreements have been completed it is hoped that Next will begin fitting out the store and will open in time for Christmas.
