Throughout the Autumn of 2011 our small group of volunteers have been busy coppicing a vast area of Round Coppice. This involved removing most of the smaller, non native trees to let in more light ready for planting new sapplings when they arrive. Whiteley Scouts were also involved which helped them work towards their community badge.
Another Autumn task was to plant Spring Bulbs received from Fareham Borough Council. These were planted at the bottom of Sweethills Cresscent and around Whiteley Community Centre.
We are often involved in litter picks.
We are a small group always looking for new members. We meet once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30 and meet at Whiteley Community Centre. We tend to get out to work once a month on a Sunday or Wednesday morning. For more information please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
