Police Warning

Police have issued a warning to motorists  after seven cars were broken into in Whiteley.

Thieves took a Garmin Nuvi 3760T satellite navigation system when the cars were broken into at Oak Coppice Road and Thyme Avenue.

Other items taken were CDs, a memory stick and money during the break-ins which took place between November 8 and November 9.

Dear Reader, We are currently investigating a series of six thefts from motor vehicles that occurred around the Thyme Avenue and Oak Coppice Road area of Whiteley. The thefts took place at some time overnight on Tuesday 08/11 into the morning of Wednesday 09/11. All the vehicles involved had been left unlocked. Such incidents are rare in the Whiteley area; however, can we please take this opportunity to remind residents of the importance of locking their vehicles and taking any valuables with you when you leave your vehicles. If you do need to leave items in your vehicle please ensure they are placed securely out of site in the boot. If you saw or heard anything during the times the thefts took place, or you have any information that you think may assist with our investigation please contact us quoting the reference number above.
